Applied with the highest quality standards and techniques, our expertly trained paint protection film (PPF) specialists in Houston do it right the first time. Utilizing the best available software before application, your vehicle’s film is cut into precise patterns for each panel. To prevent film edges from being visible, we wrap our film around the edges of each panel. This makes it virtually impossible to tell which panels have film on them.
WHAT IS XPEL’S WARRANTY?
XPEL offers a flexible warranty for manufacturer defects ten years after the date of purchase. Covered defects include: yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delaminating. If you experience any of these issues, we won’t hesitate to fix it.
WILL CLEAR BRA CHANGE THE APPEARANCE OF MY PAINT?
Not unless you want it to! Our shop here in Houston provides clear bra installation when installed properly, XPEL film is virtually impossible to see. Some dealerships and other shops will leave a visible edge around the perimeter of each panel, but at American Detail, we wrap the film behind those edges to ensure a clean appearance.
If you do want it to change the appearance of your paint, we do offer XPEL Stealth film. This film has a satin finish that will match any color it is applied on. ARE ALL EDGES WRAPPED ON EVERY INSTALL?
We use XPEL’s DAP program for 100% computer plotted patterns. These are exported through a plotter to cut each piece with an extreme degree of precision. We only extend and wrap edges that we believe will not be prone to failure. Since we guarantee our installs, we don’t want to install something that we professionally believe is going to fail prematurely. We want to guide you to the best value for your money and time. Since the clear bra film relies on a very small amount of adhesive to stay in place, certain edges and curves are best not wrapped. Anything you may like extended/wrapped outside of software recommendations will need to be requested separately prior to booking a package.
HOW LONG DOES CLEAR BRA LAST?
Our Houston shop’s Paint Protection Film lasts longer than ever. We have seen cars with older substandard films become dry and yellow within two years. Our film is backed by a 10 year warranty to cover you from any sort of failure in the film. We recommend adding a Ceramic coating on top of the clear bra to maximize longevity, gloss, and ease of cleaning.
CAN CLEAR BRA BE INSTALLED ON OLDER VEHICLES?
Yes, but any vehicle with scratches, swirls, chips, or oxidation should be corrected before applying film. New clear bra films are so optically clear, they can actually magnify imperfections in a painted surface. Not sure if this step is necessary on your vehicle? We can evaluate the paint finish with you and give our expert opinion on how to proceed.
CAN YOU CERAMIC COAT MY CLEAR BRA?
Yes, we can! We highly recommend ceramic coating over clear bra, as it will maximize longevity, gloss, and ease of cleaning.
